Partner with Dare
Dare to be Digital is looking for partners for 2008 and beyond...
In 2007:
- We expanded to three regional host centres in Guildford, Belfast and Dundee with international participation from India and China,
- We promoted our showcase event, Dare ProtoPlay at the Edinburgh Festival to an audience of 2,500 satisfied customers,
- We partnered with BAFTA to provide the nominations for the BAFTA Ones to Watch Award,
- We took Dare to the London Games Festival, and
- We secured mainstream media coverage on the BBC Technology pages, network TV and a two part documentary on BBC Radio 4.
However, our ambitions are much greater and we need your help.
We want to celebrate the young talent from all university courses globally that represent a pipeline for bringing top graduates to the video games industry. We want to do that in a way that adds value to their CV's, provides them with an interdisciplinary team working experience, teaches them new skills and showcases their achievements effectively. We want to make sure that participation in Dare to be Digital doesn’t compromise their freedom of choice. We want to ensure that there are maximum opportunities for all potential employers to evaluate the talent pool.
We also want to inspire, promote and celebrate creativity and originality. We want our participants to have a positive economic impact when they move on from Dare to be Digital either through employment or entrepreneurial activity. We want the pipeline of new IPs arising from Dare to be much sought after.
We have great plans to expand Dare to be Digital to enlarge the opportunity for talented arts and science students and graduates from across the UK and beyond. We also intend to create an even greater focus on originality, creativity and skills development achieved in real world environments.
We hope that you can help us to achieve these objectives. We are developing a range of opportunities for partnering through both sponsorship and in-kind contributions at various levels. We are also seeking to grow the network of friends working with us in an advisory capacity.
Please join us and be a part of this fantastic project.
