Dare students treated to Ceilidh night

26th July 2010

Students taking part in this year's Dare to be Digital were treated to a Ceilidh night on Thursday at the Invercarse Hotel in Dundee. As many of the students are not from Scotland, the night was organised to allow all of our competitors to enjoy a traditional Scottish night, complete with kilts, Piper, haggis and ceilidh dancing.

Dressed in full regalia, the Piper piped the haggis in to the hall, greeted by the Master of Ceremony who recited a Robert Burns poem.

After a delicious 3 course meal (including, for many, their first taste of haggis), the band started up and the ceilidh dancing was underway with most of the students giving it a try!

The night proved to be a hit with the students and such was the enjoyment of wearing a kilt that many continued to wear it to Dare the following day!
