How to apply Ireland
APPLICATIONS NOW CLOSED
We are delighted to announce that the Department of Education and Skills North South Co-operation Unit is once again funding the Dare to be Digital team from the Island of Ireland in 2013.
Team members must be studying in further education and/or a 3rd level college. Teams should contain a balance of artists and programmers with someone taking on the audio aspects of the game. One of these team members must take on the role of team leader in addition to their technical / creative duties. The selection event will take place in Dublin, details of which will be posted under the selection events section on the after you submit your application page once confirmed. If you are unsure about any aspect of applying from the island of Ireland please get in touch with us at enquiries@daretobedigital.com.
All teams will be hosted at The University of Abertay Dundee in Scotland, UK.
Please note that you cannot enter Dare if you have taken part before. This includes applicants who were successful in securing a place in the competition but who later withdrew from Dare either prior to its commencement or after it started. However you can enter Dare if you previously applied to Dare but were unsuccessful in securing a place (this includes if you got to the interview stage but were thereafter unsuccessful).
Once you have a complete team, complete the team application form on this site by the closing date of 9th April 2013 at 5pm BST (GMT+1). Applications are now closed for Dare 2013. Please note that you MUST include a video pitch of your concept on the application form. To find out more about the selection process please read the "after you submit your application" page. If you have any queries check out the FAQs or our facebook page.
If you are an individual looking to join a team, you can post on the vacancy noticeboard dedicated to students from the island of Ireland below.

One Irish team, consisting of five team members, will be selected from all the Irish entries and their participation will be sponsored by the Department of Education and Skills North South Co-operation Unit.
